Homework is purposeful learning carried outside of the classroom as allocated and scheduled by the classroom teacher. Homework complements classroom learning and provides opportunities for students to be responsible for their own learning. Homework provides students with opportunities to deepen and practise their understanding and skills, relative to content that has been presented to them and tests their levels of comprehension.
At DPS Home assignments are not a carryover of class work but are oriented towards enhancing individual talents. Homework is designed so as to provide an extension to our differentiated curriculum by offering students tailored tasks that either enrich or support their learning.
